About The Position

Bridgepoint Consulting, an Addison Group Company, is seeking experienced Assistant Controllers to join their growing Houston team. This role supports clients with a wide range of interim and project-based accounting needs. The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to move away from internal roles, has a passion for helping growing companies succeed, and wants to make an impact in a fast-paced, growing company.

Requirements

5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
Recent hands-on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management
Experience with monthly closing procedures, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
Experience in a small to mid-sized company environment with the ability to multi-task and wear several hats
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
Experience researching technical GAAP issues
Ability to adapt to various client environments
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong desire for consulting style work and delivering excellent client service
Hungry, Humble, Smart Attitude

Nice To Haves

Revenue Recognition
Work experience with both public and private companies
Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, SaaS & Big Four/public accounting
Hands-on experience with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains or Intacct)
Moderate – advanced experience with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA
Prior employment by a Big 4 or other nationally recognized accounting firms
