About The Position

Aerosonic is seeking an onsite Assistant Controller for its Clearwater, Florida facility. The Assistant Controller will lead key financial processes, mentor staff, and help streamline operations. The role partners closely with the Vice President of Finance to provide insights that support business decisions and contribute to financial strategy and operational excellence. The position is restricted to U.S. persons because it involves access to export-controlled technology; proof of status is required before employment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least three years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to make independent decisions on routine office activities.
• Ability to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction; the role is restricted to U.S. persons, and proof of status is required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes.
• Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support company growth.
• Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Drive process improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Generate and distribute monthly reporting packages for internal stakeholders, explaining monthly variances.
• Drive efficiencies through actual-versus-budget variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including GAAP, SOX, and other relevant policies.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of learning and excellence.
