About The Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller with deep Costpoint and GovCon expertise to support the Controller and oversee the accounting function. This role is ideal for a senior-level consultant with audit, compliance, and leadership experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced Deltek Costpoint proficiency required
- Strong GovCon background including audits and compliance
- Proven leadership and process-improvement experience
Responsibilities
- Support oversight of all accounting operations and close cycles
- Review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA standards
- Partner with the Controller on audits, budgets, and forecasting
- Improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Act as subject-matter expert for Deltek Costpoint and reporting
