About The Position

Health Research, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Contract Administrator to join the tight-knit Office of Contracts & Operations team, within the Corporate Office, in Menands, NY. The incumbent will be responsible for processing contract transactions including reviewing subcontract and consultant vouchers for payment, organizing and maintaining documents, and will serve as a liaison to vendors and program staff. This role works closely with HRI’s Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Corporate Compliance, the Corporate Controller, and many New York State Department of Health programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience; OR four years of relevant experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office 365.
  • Experience with reviewing vouchers, budget modifications, and/or contracts.
  • Experience working within a not-for-profit corporation and/or with grant funding.
  • Customer service experience.
