About The Position

Monroe Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support their affordable PBS8 community. This role is ideal for individuals interested in company growth, with a positive personality for interacting with applicants, residents, and co-workers. The position requires strong leadership, a hardworking and fun-loving attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills. The Assistant Community Manager will be mentored for growth within the company and will be prepared to oversee operations in the manager's absence. They will support day-to-day property operations, enhance property value, and ensure the property team is positive and successful.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year as a leasing or administrative assistant
  • Working Knowledge of Onsite or Yardi Software
  • English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
  • The ability to pass a full background check
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required

  • College Degree is preferred
  • Experience in Affordable Housing Apartment Management
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and produce accurate work consistently in a very busy office
  • Demonstrating a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work as part of a team, or can work independently with little oversight
  • Dynamic leader, possessing the ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Strong background in Project-Based Section 8
  • Marketing savvy
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Property Management-related software
  • Enjoy working with people and have a passion for customer service
  • Participated in Management and Occupancy reviews and UPCS/REAC Inspections
  • Experience with resident-occupied project renovations

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Community Manager, complete the lease packet, calculate rent, and prepare all documents in accordance with Monroe policy and procedures
  • Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists
  • Responsible for rent collection and preparing lease enforcement notices
  • Assist with ordering supplies, processing invoices, and tracking maintenance schedules
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
