About The Position

Monroe Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to provide management support to their affordable PBS8 community. The ideal candidate will have a personality to positively interact with applicants, residents, and co-workers, enjoy leading teams, work hard while having fun, and be a strong problem-solver. This role is for someone interested in growing with the company. The Assistant Community Manager will be mentored to grow with the company and prepared to oversee operations in the absence of a manager. They will support day-to-day property operations, enhance property value, and ensure the property team is positive and successful.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year as a leasing or administrative assistant
  • Working Knowledge of Onsite or Yardi Software
  • English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
  • The ability to pass a full background check
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required

  • Experience in Affordable Housing Apartment Management
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and produce accurate work consistently in a very busy office

  • Dynamic leader, possessing the ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Strong background in Project-Based Section 8
  • Marketing savvy
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Property Management-related software

  • Participated in Management and Occupancy reviews and UPCS/REAC Inspections
  • Experience with resident-occupied project renovations

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Community Manager, complete the lease packet, calculate rent, and prepare all documents in accordance with Monroe policy and procedures
  • Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists
  • Responsible for rent collection and preparing lease enforcement notices
  • Assist with ordering supplies, processing invoices, and tracking maintenance schedules
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
