The Assistant Community Director (ACD) supports the Community Director in the daily operation of the property, with a primary focus on resident accounts, office operations, and leasing support. The ACD acts as the on-site leader in the Community Director's absence and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of property management experience required
  • Fair Housing certification required within 7 days of employment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with financial documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional, courteous communication with residents and staff
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in the CD's absence
  • Comfortable managing sensitive resident financial and personal information

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RealPage/OneSite, Yardi, Fortress, or similar property management software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Daily Operations reports, due daily to equity partners, owners, asset management, and leadership
  • Process rent payments, post charges, and manage resident ledgers
  • Assist with delinquency tracking, notices, and collection efforts
  • Support execution of the property's action plan, tracking follow-through on assigned initiatives
  • Conduct prospect tours, maintain the tour path, follow up with prospects and applicants, send welcome emails, and assist with move-in orientations for new residents
  • Serve as a point of contact for resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests
  • Assist with renewal outreach and lease expiration management
  • Step into the Community Director role for daily operations during absences
  • Confirm move-in funds are received, the lease is signed, and utilities are set up prior to resident move-in
  • Maintain accurate resident files and lease documentation
  • Support scheduling and coordination of vendor and maintenance activity as needed
  • Assist with move-in/move-out inspections and apartment home turn coordination
