About The Position

Penn State Harrisburg, a member of the NCAA Division III, is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Coach for the sport of Men’s & Women’s Track & Field/Cross County with the Department of Athletics. The role involves assisting the Head Coach in recruiting and program development, practice preparation, and meet day coaching. A key responsibility is implementing training programs for student-athletes in distance events and helping to recruit both men and women XC/distance runners. The Assistant Coach will also oversee practice and competitions, with additional duties assigned as needed.

Requirements

• May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
• Hours will vary between 10 to 15 hours/week (off-season) and 25 to 35 hours/week (in-season).
• This is an hourly opening during the off-season and an exempt opening paid monthly during the in-season.
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
• A valid driver’s license
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
