About The Position
Penn State Harrisburg, a member of the NCAA Division III, is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Coach for the sport of Men’s & Women’s Track & Field/Cross County with the Department of Athletics. This role involves assisting the Head Coach in various aspects of program management and athlete development.
Requirements
- May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
- Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head Coach in recruiting and program development.
- Practice preparation and meet day coaching.
- Implementing training programs for student-athletes in distance events.
- Helping recruit both men and women XC/distance runners.
- Overseeing practice and competitions.
- Additional duties assigned.
