About The Position

The Assistant Coach provides support to the Head Coach for Women's Volleyball with the organization, development, and implementation of a nationally competitive, Division I intercollegiate program. Specific duties include: assisting in all aspects of recruiting, coaching, and mentoring student-athletes, training, assisting in the scheduling of practices and matches; coordinating on and off-campus living arrangements for student-athletes; and other responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Developing and cultivating relationships with colleagues, alumni, and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to the entire academic development of student-athletes, are essential requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and university rules and regulations
  • Dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes
  • Strong communication, organization, and administrative skills
  • Prolonged sitting and computer use
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment with manual dexterity
  • Occasional standing or walking to attend meetings or conduct orientations
  • May require lifting light office materials (up to 20 pounds)
  • Visual acuity and effective verbal and auditory communication are essential for reviewing financial data and interacting with employees in person, by phone, or virtually
  • Must complete employment eligibility verification (on Form I-9) by presenting documents that establish identity and work authorization within the timeframe required by federal immigration law, and where applicable, to demonstrate renewed employment authorization.
