About The Position

This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. The Assistant Coach, Women's Volleyball instructs and teaches athletes in the fundamentals of volleyball, coaches technique and strategy. They will assist in the selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. The role also involves assisting the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management, including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipment. Additionally, the position monitors the academic progress of student athletes, audits information from academic support services, and ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience coaching the sport of volleyball required
  • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations.
