About The Position

The Department of Athletics at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Coaching Assistant (12-month) with an anticipated starting date of July 1, 2026. The Position The ideal candidate will demonstrate successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level; excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills; and a strong commitment to the academic achievement and holistic development of student-athletes through knowledge and understanding of NCAA regulations. The Assistant Coach is expected to serve as a mentor and positive role model and to demonstrate sensitivity to equity, inclusion, and diversity in working with a diverse student-athlete population.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have experience in working with students from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of successful NCAA Division I, II, III soccer coaching experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Coaching experience at Division II level
  • Master’s degree
  • US Soccer B License

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the daily operations of the Women’s Soccer program in accordance with NCAA, CCAA Conference, and California State University, Dominguez Hills rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Assisting with coaching instruction, player development, recruiting, practice and game preparation, and supporting the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes.
