About The Position

Felician University is presently offering an exciting opportunity for an energetic and goal-oriented individual with coaching experience in collegiate women’s soccer. The Assistant Coach is an entry level, 12-month, part-time appointment, not to exceed 25 hours per week. The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in all aspects of the women’s soccer program at Felician University, with primary responsibility for teaching and training players in the rules, regulations, equipment needs, skills and techniques of the respective sport. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or aspiring coaches to gain practical experience in collegiate athletics while supporting the values of the Franciscan Felician mission. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; may be waived for extensive practical experience in the field
  • Coaching experience in collegiate women’s soccer

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach with basic day-to-day operations of the program.
  • Attend and participate in team practices and competitions.
  • Support student-athlete development by providing positive reinforcement and encouragement.
  • Help manage team equipment and maintain practice spaces.
  • Serve as a liaison for team communication and logistics (practice updates, travel, etc.).
  • Contribute to recruiting by attending select local events and helping manage recruiting databases.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and organizational tasks.
  • Assist with creating basic drill plans or warm-up activities under supervision.
  • Learn compliance standards (NCAA, CACC, University) under the direction of the Head Coach.
  • Shadow the Head Coach in areas such as academic support monitoring and scouting.
  • Contribute to social media or promotional content for the program.
  • Ability and willingness to comply with all NCAA compliiance regulations in accordance with the timeline set with the NCAA governing board.
