About The Position

Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer to join their team. The primary duties of University of Washington Athletic Department coaches are to teach, instruct, educate and impart knowledge to student-athletes regarding the rules and fundamentals of their respective sport with the goal to continuously improve and achieve athletic excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of successful experience coaching soccer at a collegiate and/or professional level; or a combination of education and/or competitive experience playing and/or coaching soccer at a collegiate/professional level.
  • Experience coaching female soccer athletes.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Goalkeeping experience.
  • U.S. Soccer Coaching License (or equivalent).
  • Computer literacy, recruiting database competency and working knowledge of video technology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the Division I Women's Soccer program at the University of Washington.
  • Coaching current student-athletes. (50%)
  • Recruiting travel and tracking prospective student-athletes. (25%)
  • Assist with the daily operations of the program. Assist with team and administrative travel. (20%)
  • Assist with fundraising and community service activities. (5%)
