About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Women's Lacrosse will assist in planning and conducting practices and scouting sessions, developing players' technical skills and tactical understanding, and supporting operational tasks. This role also involves monitoring student-athletes' academic performance, assisting with recruiting, ensuring compliance with rules, promoting the program, and participating in community service. The position requires flexibility with work hours, including nights and weekends, and involves travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One year of lacrosse coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, camp/clinic, or professional level
  • Knowledge of strategies and skills in the sport of women’s lacrosse, as well as University, conference, and NCAA rules/regulations/requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in coaching at the Division I level

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in planning and conducting practices scouting sessions
  • Developing and enhancing players' technical skills and understanding of tactical systems
  • Supporting operational tasks including, but not limited to: Film review and analysis, Arranging travel accommodations, Coordinating team meals
  • Monitoring and supporting student-athletes' academic performance
  • Assisting with all recruiting responsibilities and talent identification of prospective student-athletes
  • Ensuring personal and program adherence to all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules/requirements
  • Promoting the women's lacrosse program and Towson University athletics through various channels
  • Organizing and participating in community service activities
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by the head coach or Athletic Department
