About The Position

Primary responsibilities are to assist in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I Women’s Lacrosse program including development of the student-athlete, practice and film strategy, scouting and game preparation, recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes, marketing and community involvement and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. This position will also assist the Head Coach in organization, administration, and promotion of the program. Approximately 60% of the Assistant Coach’s responsibility is dedicated to the instruction of lacrosse through on/off-field training through video and other teaching techniques. Approximately 40% of the Assistant Coach’s responsibilities are recruiting and other administrative duties. Candidates must be committed to the academic and athletic success of the student-athletes.

Requirements

  • Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience
  • Knowledge of the draw preferred + offense/defense
  • Leadership, commitment and ability to motivate and teach
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of NCAA and ASUN
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
  • Previous collegiate playing and or coaching experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA, ASUN and Jacksonville University rules and regulations
  • A demonstrated expertise in coaching women’s lacrosse
  • The ability to lead and motivate student athletes
  • Ability to supervise and instruct athletic performance practice
