About The Position

The Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse instructs and teaches athletes in the fundamentals of lacrosse, coaching technique and strategy. This role assists in the selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. The Assistant Coach also aids the head coach in coordinating administrative areas of program management, including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipment. Additionally, this position is responsible for the oversight and development of one other assistant coach and the director of operations. The Assistant Coach monitors the academic progress of student athletes, audits information from academic support services, and ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. This position operates within a creative and collaborative team environment that embraces change and encourages innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior lacrosse coaching experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level required.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Ability to travel extensively during recruiting process required.

  • Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations desired.
