About The Position

The Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball will instruct and teach athletes in the fundamentals of basketball, coaching technique and strategy. This role assists in the selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. The Assistant Coach also aids the head coach in coordinating administrative areas of program management, including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipment. Additionally, this position monitors the academic progress of student athletes, audits information from academic support services, and ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. This position operates within a creative and collaborative team environment that embraces change and encourages innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of women's basketball at the intercollegiate level required.
• Ability to travel extensively during recruiting process required.
• Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations.
• Experience working with a diverse population required.
