About The Position

Misericordia University is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time Track & Field Throwing Coach to assist with coaching student-athletes in throwing events, including shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer. Responsibilities include planning and leading event-specific training sessions, developing technique and performance, and supporting the overall mission of the athletic program. The ideal candidate will have collegiate playing or coaching experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.

Requirements

• Demonstrated technical knowledge of shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience in track & field throwing events.
• Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Planning and leading event-specific training sessions for throwing events (shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer).
• Developing technique and performance of student-athletes in throwing events.

• Ensuring adherence to NCAA, conference, and university policies and procedures.
