About The Position

The Assistant Head Coach will assist in coaching and training swimmers, focusing on delivering daily workouts and technique instruction. This role involves providing real-time feedback on stroke mechanics, turns, finishes, and race strategies to enhance athlete performance. The Assistant Head Coach will also foster a positive team culture, mentor swimmers, and model professional conduct. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with swim meet operations, maintaining records, and participating in team activities.

Requirements

• Prior Swimming and/or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily workouts and technique instruction.
• Provide real-time feedback on stroke mechanics, turns, finishes, and race strategies to improve athlete performance.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on personal growth, accountability, and team pride.
• Mentor swimmers of various skill levels, helping them set and achieve realistic individual and team goals.
• Model a professional attitude and strong communication skills when interacting with athletes, parents, and facility staff.
• Assist with swim meet management, including coordinating event entries, managing logistics, and coaching on-deck during competitions.
• Maintain attendance logs, track athlete progress data, and assist with team communications.
• Participate in staff meetings, team events, and professional development opportunities as required.
