About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Men’s Tennis assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the Men’s Tennis program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with team practice and competitions, providing input on player evaluation, making recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation, and providing administrative support to the head coach. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage, and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree and up to 1 year relevant experience or equivalent combination
  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter
  • Coaching and successful recruiting experience
  • Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing
  • Ability to advocate for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members
