Assistant Coach, Men's Lacrosse
About The Position
Anderson University’s Office of Athletics invites applications for the role of full-time, temporary role as Assistant Coach, Men’s Lacrosse. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The university seeks candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning. The Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible, in coordination and in support of the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, for the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse program. This position will assist with administration, recruitment and retention of all student athletes by developing a supportive Christian faith culture within the program while adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in collegiate athletics programs
- Knowledge and compliance of all rules and guidelines set by the NCAA Division II and South Atlantic Conference
- Ability to uphold confidentiality
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to exhibit Anderson University’s Christian mission through all interactions
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Preparation of detailed scouting reports
- Conducting pre-game warm-up activities
- Planning and organizing travel plans for both in and out-of-season
- Participating in fundraising activities
- Generating ideas for game day attendance and experience
- Administration, recruitment and retention of all student athletes
- Developing a supportive Christian faith culture within the program
- Adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations
