About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is looking for an Assistant Basketball Coach, part-time. You will report to the Head Basketball Coach. This position is located on the main campus in Manchester, NH.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
1+ years of playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level
Knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE-IO, ECAC, and NCAA
Experience recruiting, evaluating, and leading skills sessions for player development.
Valid driver's license and eligibility for University insurance coverage, with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Participate in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices.
Help monitor conditioning programs
Provide input as to the evaluation of the athlete's performance and progress.
Evaluate opponents' performance and scouting.
Ensure the peak performance of athletes during games
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes
Help recruit prospective student-athletes
Help with gameday logistics planning and support
Participate in planning for events including fundraising or other special functions
Bring University Vans to and from practice, games, playoffs, and coaches meetings
Attendance is required at any NE-10 conference meetings, all-star balloting, or voting meetings, and all SNHU Athletic Department meetings
You will be governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and of Southern New Hampshire University, which requires working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program.
You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
If you plan to recruit, you must pass the NCAA Certification exam.
The Assistant Coach may drive the team van to and from contests and pre-season practice or tournaments.
