26-27 MNHHS Boys Football Assistant Coach #2 (Boosters)
About The Position
This position involves assisting coaches in various secondary school athletic programs. The Assistant Coach I Paraprofessional will help with daily and long-range athletic activities, conduct learning experiences for student athletes under the direction of head coaches, and foster a harmonious team spirit. Responsibilities also include providing escort, assistance, and supervision during team travel, recommending equipment purchases, utilizing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and performing other non-coaching duties assigned by school administration. The role requires adherence to a professional code of ethics, regular attendance, and appropriate use of technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Successful completion of criminal record check
- Must follow all KHSAA coaching requirements
- Knowledge of fundamentals of various sports
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
- Ability to assist coaches on one or more sports
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Assist coaches in daily and long-range athletic activities
- Conduct learning experiences, under the direction of the head coaches, with small groups of student athletes
- Assist coaches in guiding participants toward a harmonious team spirit
- Assist in providing escort assistance, and supervision to athletes during periods of team travel
- Recommend to the head coach the purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of student athletes
- Utilize Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as outlined at the school/district
- Perform other non-coaching duties assigned by the principal, athletic director, or head coach
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Adheres to the professional code of ethics
- Successfully utilizes technology as appropriate in job function
