About The Position

This is a seasonal position for a JH Flag Football Coach (Boys) at United Christian Academy. The role involves reinforcing a Christ-centered, competitive culture of athletics, preparing and executing practice sessions, assessing student-athletes' skills, and communicating schedules. The coach will work under the supervision of the Varsity Head Coach and partner with coaches of other sports to ensure program growth. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment and uniforms. The job requires a strong Christian faith, effective communication, and the ability to work with children. Requirements

• Must be a born-again Christian
• Must be a credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Bible
• Must be able to support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian Conduct
• Must be a member of an evangelical, Bible-believing church
• Must have sufficient health and physical endurance to be able to complete the assigned responsibilities
• Must possess the ability to establish and effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students
• Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to work well independently, manage time well, and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions
• Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback
• Ability to work efficiently and quickly under pressure
• Has a positive attitude toward work ethic, learning, and development
• Self-motivated, creative, innovative, and strategic thinking ability

• High School Diploma
• Basic knowledge of rules and fundamentals for the sport
• Successful completion of NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses
• First Aid/CPR Certificate
• TB clearance within the last four years
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance
• Mandated Reporter Training Course
• Sexual Harassment Training Course
• Other trainings as assigned

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching experience at middle school or higher level preferred
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills

Responsibilities

• Reinforces a Christ-centered, competitive culture of athletics to coaches, faculty/staff, student-athletes, parents, and those outside of our school
• Prepares and executes practice sessions for the team
• Assess student-athletes’ skills and assign team positions; choose team members
• Provides appropriate, constructive feedback to student-athletes
• Evaluates and maintains the cleanliness and safety of practice and game facilities
• Effectively communicates schedules and schedule changes to student-athletes, families, coaches, and administrators
• Works with and directly under the supervision of the Varsity Head Coach to maintain program growth, consistency, and community
• Partner with coaches of other sports to ensure the growth of all sports programs within the department
• Maintain inventory of equipment and uniforms
