About The Position

Bridgewater College is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Assistant Golf Coach to support its NCAA Division III men's and women's golf programs. This part-time position reports to the Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach and offers an opportunity to help student-athletes succeed both on the course and in the classroom. The successful candidate will assist with coaching, recruiting, player development, and program operations while helping foster a positive, competitive team culture that reflects the mission and values of Bridgewater College.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous coaching or competitive golf experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with prospective and current student-athletes
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet the College's vehicle insurance requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the men's and women's golf programs
• Plan and conduct practices and provide instruction during training and competition
• Travel with the team to tournaments and assist with competition management
• Recruit prospective student-athletes who are a strong fit for Bridgewater College academically, athletically, and personally
• Mentor and support student-athletes in their academic, athletic, and personal development
• Assist with tournament operations, community service initiatives, and fundraising activities
• Help promote the golf programs through social media, marketing, and other outreach efforts
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and College policies and regulations
