About The Position

Hamilton High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic department as an Assistant Golf Coach for the upcoming seasonal program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the game of golf, a passion for coaching young athletes, and the ability to foster a positive and competitive environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of student-athletes both on and off the course.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of golf techniques, rules, and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other coaches and staff.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the golf season.
A passion for youth development and a commitment to fostering a positive athletic experience for all participants.
Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per school board policy.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Golf Coach in planning and implementing practice sessions and training programs.
Provide instruction on golf techniques, rules, and strategies to enhance players' skills and performance.
Support the recruitment and retention of student-athletes by promoting the golf program within the school and community.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of individual players, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
Assist in organizing and managing golf tournaments and matches, including logistics and communication with opposing teams.
Ensure the safety and proper use of equipment during practices and competitions.
Collaborate with the Head Coach and other staff to develop team policies and guidelines.
Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for opponents.
Communicate regularly with players and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with coaching techniques and best practices.
