About The Position

Bonney Lake High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach for the Girls Soccer program for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for soccer and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position requires collaboration with the head coach and a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Requirements

  • Previous coaching experience or significant playing experience in soccer, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
  • Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and other coaching staff.
  • Commitment to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach in planning and implementing effective practice sessions and game strategies.
  • Provide instruction and support to student-athletes during practices and games.
  • Help in the recruitment and retention of players, fostering a love for the sport and encouraging participation.
  • Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
  • Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among players, encouraging a positive team culture.
  • Assist with organizing team events, including fundraisers, team meetings, and community outreach.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
  • Adhere to all school and district policies, as well as rules set forth by relevant athletic associations.
