About The Position

The Assistant Coach of Women's Field Hockey will assist the Head Coach and Associate Coach with the daily operations, development, and support of a nationally competitive NCAA Division I Field Hockey program. Responsibilities include assisting with student-athlete coaching and development, on-campus recruiting coordination, opponent scouting, and team travel logistics. The Assistant Coach will maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, staff, and the university community, while ensuring strict compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and university rules and regulations.
Dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Strong administrative skills.
Evening and weekend work (Non-standard work hours).
Constantly moves about the facility and event site before, during and after events to service clients.
Constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
Standing, walking, kneeling/crouching, balancing and lifting up to 20 pounds.
