About The Position

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the seasonal Assistant Coach, Club Women’s Wrestling position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI). The Brown Women’s Wrestling Club is looking to hire an assistant coach to help build and grow this rising club sport at Brown. The primary functions of this position will be to instruct wrestlers at practice, strategize for competitions, and coordinate travel and competition logistics.

Requirements

  • Experience wrestling and coaching at a high level
  • Demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations
  • Perform duties in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League rules and regulations
  • Report any rules violations to the compliance office and appropriate parties
  • Receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting
  • Maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification

Nice To Haves

  • USA Wrestling certification preferred
