About The Position

The Assistant Coach is responsible for conducting team activities in accordance with policies and regulations established by the WIAA, KINGCO, and Bellevue School District. The coach supports the high school’s athletic program and works with the Head Coach on matters related to the sport and season. The position reports to and is directly supervised by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. The season salary is $7,437, and the position is not eligible for benefits. Employment is contingent on identity and work-authorization verification, background and reference checks, and approval by the Bellevue School Board.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 19 years of age.
Current first aid and CPR cards; proof must be provided before a job offer.
Must complete identity and authorization-to-work verification.
Employment is contingent on satisfactory background checks, including prior-employer and professional references, criminal history fingerprinting, and sexual misconduct information from prior school district employers, as well as Bellevue School Board approval.

Responsibilities

Support the high school’s entire athletic program and maintain professional relationships with the educational system and coaching profession.
Support the Head Coach in conducting the sport’s athletic program.
Remain aware of the number of games, matches, and other events specified by the WIAA.
Perform duties assigned by the Head Coach related to the sport’s athletic program.
Assist the Head Coach in matters related to the sports season.
Accompany and direct the assigned team to all games and practices.
Assume the Head Coach’s responsibilities in the Head Coach’s absence if designated to do so.
Be accountable to the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Principal.
Comply with the WIAA coaching clock-hour program.
Perform other assigned responsibilities.
