Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Verifiable experience coaching baseball.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the game of baseball.
  • Familiarity with university policies regarding athletics, Division II baseball programs, MIAA Conference rules, and NCAA legislation and regulations
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the head coach in the management and administration of an effective and efficient baseball program.
  • Provides leadership including recruitment, player development, and social development of student-athletes.
  • Assist in the management of the program budget.
  • Prepare and conduct practice sessions.
  • Assist in game day operations.
  • Assist in travel and scheduling.
  • Field operations.
  • Create fitness and conditioning programing.
  • Monitors academic progress toward degree of student-athletes in conjunction with the compliance office.
  • Ability to guide athletes toward successful completion of an undergraduate degree while participating in intercollegiate athletics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork.
  • Requires consistent on-time attendance.
