About The Position

The Assistant Club Manager helps oversee and operate a Planet Fitness facility, develop team members, and deliver world-class customer service. The role includes leading front-desk activities, managing schedules and supplies, resolving member and staff concerns, and ensuring the facility is clean and provides a positive member experience. The position is with Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group. Compensation is $35,600 per year.

Requirements

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Experience working as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness.
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy, and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite.
• Hard-working, enthusiastic, and energetic.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand and walk continually during a shift.
• Able to talk continually in person or on the phone during a shift.
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
• Recruit, hire, train, oversee, manage, and develop team members.
• Create and manage team schedules.
• Ensure the team consistently provides a world-class member experience.
• Resolve member, staff, and club issues, concerns, and challenges.
• Lead front-desk activities, including checking members into the system, touring prospective members, assisting with new account sign-ups, and updating member accounts.
• Contribute to and oversee detailed cleaning throughout the facility.
• Complete supply orders according to club needs and budget parameters.
• Track club statistics and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
• Provide support to the entire team.
