BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to provide leadership and direction within the club, driving club performance. This role is responsible for overseeing recovery, utility, and perishable departments (Produce, Meat, Bakery, Deli, Dairy/Freezer), as well as overnight prep, ensuring all areas are clean, stocked, and ready for morning opening. The Assistant Closing Manager will also focus on maintaining policies and procedures, delivering a positive service experience to members, ensuring Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) club conditions, and assisting in audit compliance efforts. This position involves driving collaboration with Business Partners (BPs), overseeing onboarding, certification, and training for food safety and operational excellence. The role also serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, taking full responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and Member engagement during assigned shifts. A valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification is required and must be maintained. Specific certifications for propane oversight in Florida and forklift operation are also required.
