About The Position

The Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is seeking to fill a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor of Counseling, starting as early as Spring 2027. The role's primary responsibility will be to direct the department's on-campus counseling and training clinic. Additional duties include engaging in community outreach, teaching practicum/internship courses, advising students, and contributing to program development. The department offers several CACREP-accredited master's level programs and a doctoral program in Counselor Education. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a doctoral research institution with a strong academic reputation, known for innovation in research and community engagement, and is uniquely situated on its own island on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Requirements

• A doctorate in counselor education.
• Licensure or licensure-eligibility as a Texas professional counselor (LPC) or marriage and family therapist (LMFT) at time of employment.
• Three (3) or more years of post-graduate experience as a professional counselor.
• Clinical supervision experience.
• Professional identity, experience, and training in one of the counseling specialty areas offered by the department.
• Experience with community engagement and outreach initiatives.
