About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full-time inpatient position with University Hospital at Downstate, located in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you will provide coverage throughout the hospital while also supporting with clinical nutrition management responsibilities. New grads are welcome to apply!

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential and CDN in New York.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
• A strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on critical care and med/surg units.
• Support with tasks related to clinical nutrition management, including staff scheduling and organizing team development activities.
• Work rotating weekends and holidays providing remote/virtual coverage of all inpatient units.
• Participate in community events and/or health fairs, as assigned (at least two per year).
• Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process.
• Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.
