About The Position

This role is responsible for managing patient care and staff within the Cardiac Cath Lab at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The Assistant Clinical Manager promotes a cooperative working environment through effective communication, creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment, and manages an environment conducive to optimal patient outcomes through Quality Improvement activities. The position also ensures an environment that stimulates ongoing professional development for staff and self, and ensures staff achieve department work objectives for organized patient care. Key responsibilities include coordinating TJC disease specific certifications and departmental POCT competency and quality controls. The role also ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Guidelines and adheres to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and/or graduation from an Allied Health Sciences Program.
Required three years' experience in a Cardiac Invasive Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Current registration, license, and/or certification in applicable state as a Registered Nurse and/or Registration / Certification by Allied Health Sciences program.
Current Certification in BLS and ACLS.

Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
