About The Position

This full-time position in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center requires a qualified individual to manage patient care and staff. The role involves promoting a cooperative and safe working environment, facilitating optimal patient outcomes through Quality Improvement activities, and stimulating professional development for staff and self. The Assistant Clinical Manager will ensure department work objectives are met for organized patient care, coordinate TJC disease-specific certifications, and manage departmental POCT competency and quality controls. They will also ensure age-appropriate patient procedures are followed and adhere to general hospital standards for a cooperative work environment.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and/or graduation from an Allied Health Sciences Program.
Required three years' experience in a Cardiac Invasive Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Current registration, license, and/or certification in applicable state as a Registered Nurse and/or Registration / Certification by Allied Health Sciences program.
Current Certification in BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

Manages patient care and staff.

Coordinates all departmental POCT competency and quality controls as directed by the POCT coordinator for the hospital.
Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
