The Family Medicine Clinic at Hayes. E Willis Health Center provides full family medicine services for a variety of needs, primarily caring for underserved populations from newborn to geriatric. Services include preventative care, chronic disease management, sick visits, substance abuse treatment, and transgender care. RNs work with a dedicated team of CMAs and providers to ensure continuity of care. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7:45 am-4:45 pm, with nurses working one late day per week (8:30 am-5:30 pm). The clinic offers free onsite parking. The Assistant Clinical Manager facilitates patient flow, coordinates clinical activities and communication during their assigned shift, and serves as a resource and leader for patients, staff, healthcare providers, administration, and other disciplines in collaboration with the clinical manager and other clinic leadership. This role ensures patient care is delivered efficiently, caringly, and courteously, actively supporting the culture, process, and optimization of nursing practice to maintain VCU Health System's recognition for nursing excellence and Magnet Hospital status. The position may manage an assigned area with high visit volume (up to 5000 visits annually), multiple providers/specialty areas, geographically isolated areas, complex patient populations, and may supervise multiple clinical and non-clinical staff. The Assistant Clinical Manager is responsible for maintaining efficient clinical workflows, day-to-day staffing, clinic supply chain management, patient engagement, and team member engagement, participating as a critical member of the leadership team.
