UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is currently hiring full-time Assistant Clinical Instructors to join their rapidly growing team of life changers! The individual hired into this role provide clinical instruction to both the part-time and full-time SHY SON programs; the instructor will be required to teach evenings and every other weekend throughout the academic year. The mission of UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is to foster the development of an entry-level graduate nurse who is prepared to transition to practice as a member of the interprofessional healthcare team. The school is part of UPMC Shadyside which is part of the UPMC health system. The focus of our program is mastery of high-level competencies reflecting the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the delivery of safe, quality nursing care. The assistant clinical instructor is a nursing professional who has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for both the didactic and clinical instruction of students in utilizing the nursing process to provide quality patient care. This position requires the ability to effectively instruct nursing students in the classroom as well as lead the faculty within the course to provide meaningful learning experiences, guide and evaluate the students in the clinical environment while utilizing the nursing process during the provision of care to ensure safe nursing care and quality patient outcomes.
