Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related human services field.
  • Independently licensed in the State of practice required in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health counselor or other behavioral health related fields
  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LCADC (Licensed Clniical Alcohol & Drug Counselor)
  • CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ of work experience in mental health field required.
  • Knowledge of JC standards.
  • Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the discipline.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Violence

Responsibilities

  • Providing 24-hour management of all clinical functions of the facility, in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
  • Providing effective leadership to the clinical staff.
  • Assisting Clinical Director in developing effective clinical programming and ensuring staff compliance to the curriculum.
  • Assisting Clinical Director with proficiently auditing documentation to ensure compliance to company policy, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, ASAM standards, and Medical Needs Criteria.
  • Using substance abuse and co-occurring therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans goals and objectives and successfully complete treatment.
  • Providing and monitoring group therapy sessions to ensure quality programming is delivered and to ensure compliance to the program curriculum.
  • Assessing patient for substance use disorders, risk to self or others and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Effectively manage a 50% caseload.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to clinicians.
  • Reviewing and signing off on documentation as directed by Clinical Director.
  • Working closely with the Clinical Director to ensure all clinical staff are meeting 92% compliance on facility metrics.
  • Providing at least twice monthly feedback/coaching sessions with staff to improve lagging metrics.
  • Monitoring staff’s performance, providing coaching and discipline as needed to ensure peak performance.
  • Identifying areas for improvement within the department by analyzing data and developing, implementing, and documenting plans for improvement and outcomes.
  • Providing Clinical Supervision to clinicians who are not independently licensed/certified.
  • Providing trainings to Clinical department and other department as required by Clinical Director.
  • Assisting Clinical Director to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Assisting Clinical Director with meeting with all employees at least bi-monthly to provide feedback on documentation and therapeutic performance and to provide guidance and coaching as needed.
  • Assisting Clinical Director to effectively monitor staff’s performance, providing coaching and discipline as needed to ensure peak performance.
  • Leading Daily Flash Meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Leading Clinical Staff Meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Assisting the Clinical Director to recruit and hire clinical team members.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with all staff.
  • Creating a positive environment for staff.
  • Providing a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
  • Participating in administrative duties to include but not limited to group scheduling, service time, auditing assigned by Clinical Director.
  • Performing other tasks, as assigned.
