About The Position

The City of Tracy is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent municipal leader to serve as its next Assistant City Manager. Reporting to the City Manager and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the Assistant City Manager will help oversee day-to-day operations, support departments, and ensure Council priorities are implemented thoughtfully and effectively. The position serves as a strategic partner to the City Manager and plays a critical role in advancing organizational alignment, strengthening culture, and addressing operational challenges across the organization. Tracy is navigating significant initiatives that will shape the community for decades to come, including continued economic development efforts and a comprehensive General Plan update.
