About The Position

Mainspring Energy is seeking motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join its growing Field Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive service operations on Mainspring generators. You will play a key role in maintaining system uptime, availability, and performance for deployed units on customer sites within a specific region. Training will be provided at the company's headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, after which you will be assigned to a service region requiring travel. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair.
  • Experience with precision measuring, down to .001”, using micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, etc.
  • Familiarity with torque wrenches and documentation of repairs performed
  • Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE
  • Must have knowledge of how to use and maintain basic tools, such as torque wrenches and torque specifications
  • Must have experience with following written and verbal work instructions while on-site
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proven track record for the ability to work well with others as part of a dynamic team
  • Ability to learn quickly, is self-motivated and safety oriented
  • Valid Driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automotive, aviation, and/or heavy equipment (i.e. HVAC, elevators/lifts, or industrial equipment) assembly a plus
  • Software knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Mechanically repair and/or perform maintenance on components and assemblies that make up our generators in accordance with procedures and build checklists in order to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components and assemblies
  • Conduct mechanical inspections of deployed units, documenting condition information for use by our team for debugging or troubleshooting
  • Be available to work rotational on-call shifts, as per the written schedule, to provide optimal service and support for our customers
