About The Position
The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) directs nursing service activities for the assigned hospital and helps ensure the safety of its nursing units. The role includes recommending staff-to-patient ratios, maintaining a system to determine and provide adequate staffing for appropriate nursing care, serving as a liaison between staff and administration, promoting staff productivity, and developing and implementing nursing-service policies and procedures in compliance with PAM Health policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital is located.
- At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three years of nursing management experience preferred.
- Certification in a specified field preferred, such as CNE, CRRN, CCRN, or PCCN.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the nursing units and hospital.
