This position performs the duties and responsibilities of FAA Assistant Chief Flight Instructor as required by FAA Regulations Part 141. The Assistant Chief Flight Instructor assists the Chief Flight Instructor in the administration of Flight Education, supervises Flight Instructors, and develops and monitors flight safety programs. This role provides flight and classroom instruction, conducts stage checks, progress checks, and final flight tests. Additionally, the Assistant Chief Flight Instructor provides Flight Instructor initial and annual standardization of oral and practical checks, assures instruction quality and student progress/completion, including exams and check-rides. The position also coordinates and schedules personnel and aircraft. This position must be on call for emergencies for all operational hours of the Flight School and will have an alternating schedule with other Assistant Chief and Chief Flight Instructors.
