Assistant Center Manager - European Wax Center, Mountain View

European Wax CenterMountain View, CA
Onsite

About The Position

The Assistant Center Manager is the operational backbone of the center. You’ll partner with the Center Manager to run day-to-day operations: inventory, scheduling, stockroom and retail organization, daily reporting, and cash handling — while supporting and developing a team of Guest Service Associates and Licensed Wax Specialists. This is a hands-on, detail-driven position with real growth potential.

Requirements

  • 1+ years in retail, spa/salon, or hospitality management (or equivalent experience)
  • Genuinely strong organizational skills — you track details, follow through, and don’t let things slip
  • Comfortable with computers and reporting: Excel, Word, email, POS/scheduling systems (Zenoti experience a plus)
  • Experience with inventory management and/or scheduling strongly preferred
  • Confident communicator with both guests and associates
  • Sound judgment and the ability to adjust quickly when the day changes
  • A positive, upbeat, personable demeanor
  • Growth mindset — you want to learn the business, not just work a shift
  • Full-time availability, 40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Zenoti experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory: weekly counts, retail and back-bar stock levels, reorder timing, and monthly inventory reconciliation
  • Keep the stockroom organized, labeled, and properly stocked; maintain wax supply levels so the center never runs short
  • Maintain retail shelves and displays to brand standards — fully stocked, correctly merchandised, and refreshed with each monthly promotion
  • Set up the center each month per the Center Set-Up Guide: signage, posters, front desk materials, and promotional collateral
  • Ensure treatment rooms and common areas meet cleanliness, safety, and brand standards; report maintenance needs promptly
  • Build and publish weekly Guest Service schedules; manage Wax Specialist schedules, including breaks, lunches, booking blocks, and room assignments
  • Manage availability changes, time-off requests, and shift coverage
  • Audit time punches, correct missing entries, and prepare accurate timecards for bi-weekly payroll
  • Review daily sales reports for accuracy — catch incorrect check-outs, missed promotions, open invoices, and duplicate packages, and correct them
  • Monitor failed payment plans and follow up with guests on outstanding balances
  • Reconcile prior-day deposits against register closing; handle weekly bank deposits and change orders
  • Track new guest profiles and follow up with new guests after their first visit to confirm satisfaction
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training for Guest Service Associates; complete new hire and exit checklists accurately and on time
  • Work the front desk alongside the team — checking guests in and out, booking appointments, and maintaining your own individual sales and service metrics
  • Plan and lead team birthday and work anniversary celebrations
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care; respond to guest inquiries and center communications within 24–48 hours
  • Model and maintain the EWC culture in the center every day

Benefits

  • $27.00 per hour
  • Tiered performance bonus — up to $400 per pay period, an average of up to $867 per month
  • Paid bi-weekly alongside your regular paycheck (26 pay periods per year)
  • Paid time off
  • Health insurance, including vision coverage
  • Retirement savings through CalSavers (Roth IRA)
  • Employee discounts on all waxing services and retail products
  • Ongoing training and clear career growth into center management
