About The Position

The Assistant Center Manager plays a crucial role in the operations of a CSL Plasma center, reporting to the Center Manager. In the absence of the Center Manager, the Assistant Center Manager assumes ultimate responsibility for all center operations, including production, quality compliance, finance, HR, and IT. This role is also involved in supporting new center training initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective training delivery, and monitoring training progress. The Assistant Center Manager is expected to uphold company standards, regulatory compliance, and foster a positive work environment. This position may involve overnight travel and extended work hours, including weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent combination of education and professional work experience required
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory or leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of a team/others
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks in certain areas

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all Company SOPs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Participate in collecting and analyzing data to maintain center quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the center manager to assist with quality compliance by meeting company, regulatory and customer requirements to safeguard the purity and efficacy of the plasma and the safety of donors and employees.
  • Work with quality personnel and QA team to develop corrective action plans to address any areas of deficiency noted during audits.
  • Ensure the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations and training and complete all OSHA record keeping and reporting.
  • Manage employee recruitment, training, counseling, and termination, and corrective action programs, following HR policies.
  • Support the center's marketing and advertising efforts.
  • Lead all onsite training activities for new center training.
  • Lead daily debrief sessions with trainers and center leadership to determine training progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor training efficiency to ensure completion rates meet established targets and provide progress reports.
  • Schedule new center training teams to match onsite training needs and monitor trainer performance.
  • Ensure Designated Trainers effectively deliver process knowledge and that training is compliant with company SOP and HSE policies.
  • Provide oversight of training team employee relations issues and collaborate with Manager, New Center Support.
  • Communicate effectively with HR to ensure HR compliance.
  • Provide support and guidance to Designated Trainers through effective training and coaching, using Adult Learning Styles.
  • Coordinate with multiple new center leadership teams to evaluate new training team performance and provide feedback on trainee progression.
  • Minimize training distraction or impact to operational centers.
  • Ensure effective communication between new center leadership, Manager New Center Support, Designated Trainers, and Trainees during the training process.
  • Provide a model of good customer service to employees and communicate openly with customers.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints or concerns and collaborate with center management to ensure excellent customer service by all new staff and trainers.
  • Facilitate new center training materials, ensure training site is set up and maintained properly, and develop training scenarios.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
