About The Position

As an Assistant Center Manager at European Wax Center, you will be the heartbeat of the floor, coaching the team, owning the guest experience, driving sales, and stepping in as the leader-on-duty when needed. This role is for individuals who are ready to lead with real responsibility and have a clear path for growth into Center Manager and beyond. Ballast Wax, a fast-growing multi-unit EWC franchisee, is looking for ACMs who are passionate about the beauty and wellness industry, guest care, and eager to grow their careers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a guest-facing role (beauty, spa, retail, hospitality, or similar).
  • Experience in leading, training new hires, running shifts solo, or handling escalations.
  • Comfortable recommending products and services through education, not hard-selling.
  • Ability to coach struggling team members with empathy.
  • Genuine love for the beauty and wellness industry.
  • Personal skincare or waxing routine, follows the industry, and wants to build a career in it.
  • Available for evenings, weekends (one shift, not both), and flexible weekday hours.
  • Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Set the tone for every guest interaction - warm, professional, and consistent.
  • Proactively address concerns and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Ensure every guest leaves feeling confident they'll come back.
  • Lead by example in educating guests on Wax Passes, products, and services.
  • Motivate and coach the team to hit individual and center KPIs.
  • Stay sharp on promotions, product launches, and brand updates.
  • Support local marketing and community engagement efforts.
  • Coach Guest Service Associates and Wax Specialists on the floor daily.
  • Help onboard new team members and create a welcoming environment.
  • Hold the standard - service, professionalism, accountability - in the CM's absence.
  • Act as point of contact and decision-maker when leading the shift solo.
  • Own opening and closing procedures with precision.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards are never compromised.
  • Support accurate POS transactions and guest profile management.
  • Assist with daily admin tasks, inventory, and reporting.
