About The Position

The Assistant Buyer position at Windsor focuses on supporting the Buyer in vendor communication, negotiation, style selection, and inventory management, with a strong command of on-order items. This high-energy role requires close collaboration with the Buyer and partnership with Logistics to achieve team objectives. Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in the fashion industry.
  • Prior clerical or Assistant Buyer experience within a fashion retail chain.
  • Degree in Fashion, Management, or a related field, such as Design, Logistics, Textiles, Supply Chain, or Merchandising.
  • Strong culture fit with an understanding of the Windsor customer and brand.
  • Creative, open-minded, flexible, and willing to take initiative.
  • Positive, respectful, and self-motivated attitude.
  • Passion for fashion and knowledge of current and emerging trends.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt, and perform well under pressure.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Attends vendor appointments and pull product to review with buyer
  • Develop and maintain a system for organizing samples
  • Request all style information necessary for making business decisions
  • Write orders with Buyer approval
  • Communicate with vendors regarding TOP samples, PP samples or fit samples as necessary.
  • Walk DC daily
  • Review Selling Report and suggest reorders
  • Is proficient at reading and understanding reports that are important for the business
  • Create Excel and BI reports as necessary
  • Print on order report daily to track purchase orders that have missed delivery
  • Updates trend boards for upcoming months
  • Attends Business Review Meetings
  • Prepare Canva presentation for future on order meetings
  • Attends concept meeting and takes pictures if necessary
  • Review merchandise that is in #97 to determine what will be sent to vendor and what will be sent to #94.
  • Respond to emails within 1 business day
  • Assists AP with PO invoices or any issues
