About The Position
The OR Assistant Buyer is responsible for inventorying and replenishing supplies across all perioperative areas within the facility or healthcare organization. The OR Assistant Buyer will perform charge reconciliation for surgical cases to ensure adequate inventory control.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in Materials Management, Accounting, Medical, or similar roles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer programs and data entry.
Nice To Haves
- Courses in Materials Management, merchandising, accounting, marketing, and a college degree, preferred.
- Medical Terminology or clinical experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Perioperative Team on preference card maintenance and submittals.
- Ensure the perioperative inventory is fully stocked and adequately maintained.
- Work closely with the OR Buyer to ensure clinical and fiscal responsibility of the Perioperative inventory and department.
- Perform charge reconciliation for surgical cases to ensure adequate inventory control.
